BizziGroup ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Fire & Building Compliance Suite (the "Service"), available at bizzigrp.com/fire-suite. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Service collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Local-first by design. Your compliance projects are saved on your own device first. They are only sent to our cloud if you create an account and sign in - at which point they sync so you can access them across devices. If you use the Service without an account, your work stays on your device.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

Account information: your email address, a password (stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider), and a display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name and email).
Compliance project data: the information you enter into the tools - for example project and building names, site addresses, building classifications and dimensions, inspection dates, defect descriptions, and the names of inspectors, wardens or emergency contacts. This data is stored on your device and, for signed-in users, synced to our database. It may include personal information about third parties that you choose to enter.
Activity history: a local log of actions (projects created, edited and exported) kept on your device to power the dashboard.
Subscription and billing information: your subscription status and trial/renewal dates. Card payments are processed directly by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not collect or store your full card details.
Usage and device data: on our public marketing pages we use analytics (see Third-party services) which collects standard data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited. The application/dashboard itself does not load third-party analytics, so the project data you enter is not shared with analytics providers.

How we use your information

To provide the Service - store, sync and display your projects and generate compliance outputs.
To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To manage your subscription, trial and billing.
To provide support and respond to your enquiries.
To understand and improve how our marketing pages perform.
To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your project data to train AI models.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of reputable providers to run the Service:

Supabase - authentication and the cloud database that stores your account and synced projects.
Stripe - subscription billing and payment processing.
Google Analytics - usage analytics on our public marketing pages only. See Google’s privacy policy.
Google Fonts - web fonts served on our pages.

Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. Where data is transferred or stored overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Data security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS), and our database provider encrypts data at rest. We restrict access to your data to what is needed to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain your account and synced project data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your data remains accessible for 30 days, after which it may be deleted from our systems. Project data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it or clear your browser storage. You can delete individual projects at any time from the dashboard.

Your rights

Under Australian privacy law you may:

access the personal information we hold about you;
request correction of inaccurate information;
request deletion of your personal information;
export your project data from the dashboard;
opt out of any marketing communications;
lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Cookies and local storage

The Service uses your browser’s local storage to keep your projects, activity history and sign-in session on your device, and a service-worker cache to enable offline use. These are essential to how the app works. Our public marketing pages also use analytics cookies; you can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential storage will affect the app’s functionality.

Children’s privacy

The Service is a professional tool intended for use by adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.
