About this game audio processor

The Game Audio Processor prepares audio for shipping in a game: trim it to the part you actually use, normalise it so it sits at the same level as everything else, and export it at a bitrate suited to its job.

Music and sound effects want different treatment. A looping track needs quality and can afford the file size; a footstep that plays two hundred times a minute wants to be small. The presets encode that difference so you are not re-deciding it per file.

How to use it

  1. Load one file or queue up several. MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, MP4 and FLAC are all accepted.
  2. Set a start and end time in seconds to trim to the useful part.
  3. Press normalise to bring the level up without clipping.
  4. Pick a preset — SFX Low, SFX HQ, Music or Voice — or set the output format and bitrate yourself.
  5. Process and export, or run the whole queue in one pass.
