Website Redesign in Sydney

A redesign is the most common way a business accidentally loses traffic. The new site looks better, and three months later enquiries are down, because URLs changed without redirects, content was trimmed, or the pages that were actually ranking were consolidated away.

Design is the visible part. The part that decides whether the redesign was a good idea is handled before anything is designed.

What has to happen before the design

What it costs

A business website is A$3,000 and takes three to four weeks; a starter site is A$1,500 in about two weeks. Sites with a lot of existing content take longer because of the mapping work, not the design work.

Signs you need one

Slow on a phone, hard to update without calling someone, a design that predates your current offering, or an enquiry form nobody fills in. Any of those justify a rebuild; 'it looks old' on its own often does not.

Common questions

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Not if the URL mapping and redirects are done properly, which is the single most important part of a redesign and the one most often skipped.

Can we keep our current content?

Yes, and usually you should. Content that ranks is an asset; rewriting it for freshness alone is a common own goal.

How long does a redesign take?

Two to four weeks for most business sites. Content-heavy sites take longer because of migration, not design.
