Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 July 2026
These terms govern your use of USD Toolkit, a product of BizziGroup ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using USD Toolkit you confirm you can form a binding contract and agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. The Service
USD Toolkit is a free, browser-based tool for reading OpenUSD ASCII .usda files: it shows the prim hierarchy, composition arcs (sublayers, references, payloads and related asset paths), portability of those paths and a collect-files list. All parsing runs entirely in your browser and is not uploaded to us. The service is provided on an ongoing, evolving basis - features may be added, changed or removed.
3. Free - No Account
The whole tool is free. There is no account, no login, no trial and no subscription or payment of any kind. Every feature is available to everyone.
4. No Warranty on Analysis
USD is a rich, evolving format and layers vary between DCCs and versions. USD Toolkit reads ASCII .usda as text and does not run the USD runtime, so it does not resolve full composition, variants or value clips exactly as Pixar's USD would. It aims to be a useful inspector, but you are responsible for verifying anything important against your USD tools before relying on it for a delivery, archive or handoff. Binary .usdc and .usdz are not supported - convert to .usda (e.g. with usdcat) first.
5. Acceptable Use
Don't misuse the service: no unlawful, infringing or harmful use; and no attempts to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service or the wider site.
6. Your Content & Intellectual Property
You own the USD files you open and any lists you copy or export. We claim no ownership of them. Because your work is processed locally in your browser, you are responsible for keeping your own copies. USD Toolkit, its software, branding and design remain our intellectual property.
7. Trademarks & Independence
USD Toolkit is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pixar, the Academy Software Foundation, or any DCC vendor. OpenUSD is a project of Pixar and the Academy Software Foundation; SideFX Houdini is a trademark of SideFX. These names are used for identification only.
8. Availability
We aim for reliable access but don't guarantee it. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some rights under the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded - nothing here limits those.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or work that you did not download and back up. As the service is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update these terms or the service. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
